Mukesh Narula has immensely contributed to the game of cricket, not only as a player, but also as a Coach, Administrator, Commentator and a TV Anchor!

He has donned the cap of a TV commentator for several matches including live matches with Doordarshan.As a TV Anchor, he even conducted world cup match review program on Baroda's local cable network throughout the tournament. Along with his Cricket achievements, he did even contribute to Tennis as a player and as an Administrator.

 

Mukesh - The Cricket Coach

 
Mukesh Narula was appointed Head Coach for Baroda Rajni Team for the Year 2010-11 and for the senior team for the year 2009-10.
He also coached the West Zone Team in the Devdhar trophy 2009-10.
Under his reign as a coach Baroda won Cooch Behar Trophy for under19 team for the year 2007-08. This was for the first time in 70 years of the tournament's history that Baroda had achieved this feet.
He was also the Coach for NCA- U 16 Zonal Cricket Academy - South Zone at Anantapur- AP in April 09.
 He was the Coach for Canada Under 19 team in the Owrld Cup qualifiers held in Ireland in July 2011

Mukesh-The Player

 

1985 - 1997

 

He represented Baroda in Ranji Trophy Cricket by scoring over 2400 runs with 5 centuries and a highest score of 176 against Maharashtra. He added by taking 90 wickets with best bowling of 6 for 76 against Saurashtra. He was appointed as the vice-captain of Baroda team in the season 1994-1995.

 

1989 - 1996

 

Standing for West Zone in Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy Cricket by scoring over 350 runs and took 15 wickets in Duleep Trophy with the best bowling being 5 for 40 vs North Zone in Duleep Trophy finals of 1992. He was awarded as highest wicket taker in Deodhar Trophy Tournament of 1990, which helped West Zone win the Tournament.

 

1992 - 1997

 

He played with Drummond Cricket Club - Limavady, CO. Londonderry, North Ireland as a Professional Cricketer by scored over 9000 runs and 350 wickets in the league cricket with best being 201 not out; It was awarded to him the Best Cricketer of the month twice in the Northwest league and scored the highest runs in a calendar month. He captained Drummond Cricket Club from 1994 till 1997.

 

Outside the Cricketing World

 

Mukesh Narula worked with Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (I.P.C.L.) for 20 years. A keen and highly accomplished Mukesh Narula worked as GM - Public Relations and Protocol and supervising the sports department of IPCL. With his working profile he handles Rural Development Cell, Community Welfare and Corporate Communications.

Honorary Member of Round Table - India, Baroda Chapter that is affiliated to Round Table - International. Baroda Round Table regularly organizes medical camps in Villages around Baroda, sports activities, free ration and Diwali celebration for blind people society of the city. Also BRT has adopted a school in Baroda.
Chief Liaison Manager for Baroda Cricket Association to interact with Telecasting Channels for telecast of One Day International Cricket matches at Baroda - India vs. South Africa, India vs. West Indies and India vs. Sri Lanka.
Member of Rotary club of Jawahar Nagar - Baroda since 2001, holding the post of Secretary.
